DLF GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB, a 142 acre expanse is situated in the heart of DLF City in Gurgaon, Haryana, just 15 minutes away from the International Airport. Here in lies India’s premier world class designer golf course, with the rugged Aravali Range forming a dramatic backdrop. Today, it enjoys the distinction of being adjudged the best course in the Sub-Continent & in India. The Arnold Palmer designed DLF Golf & Country Club won the “best course award in India” at the Asian Golf Monthly Awards 2012 held at the picturesque Empire Hotel & Country Club, Brunei. This is the fifth time, DLF Golf and Country Club has won the award in the past 6 years, firmly establishing itself as the premier golfing facility in India It won the award in 2007 at Singapore, 2008 at Shenzhen, China, 2009 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and 2011 at Pattaya, Thailand. Also, the Club has been awarded the ‘Best Designed Golf Course in India’ at the 2010 Asia Golf Industry Show in New Delhi.

The Golf Course, designed by Arnold (King) Palmer and landscaped by Belt Collins, resulted in a golf-scape which integrated with the surrounding natural environment, in harmony with nature. This beautiful parkland with five sparkling lakes, meandering streams, variety of flora & fauna; is a par 72, 7195 yards 18-hole course. It boasts of world class fairways, fast and true greens. It also holds the distinction of being the only course in the country to offer 18-holes of Day/Night Golf thus making golfing in summer a pleasurable experience.

The course is complimented by the finest comprehensive golf teaching ‘academy’ in the country. This hi-tech facility comes with a flood lit two tier driving range, indoor mat practicing bays, bunker, pitching & putting greens along with a pro-shop and coffee shop. Golfers are trained here by top-notch pros offering world-class teaching techniques & equipment. It also boasts of the first state-of-the-art studio with a four camera digital analysis of the golf swing called the V1 Pro. The Academy is also equipped with one of golf's most innovative and high tech training aid known as K-vest. It is a fully wireless system that captures your swing in 3D and provides instant feedback on any errors in your golf swing. SAM Puttlab (Science & Motion) is an analysis and training system that uses state of the art ultrasound technology and specific mathematic algorithms for precise measurement of the relevant putting parameters

This course with its international design and quality is widely used by the PGTI & IGU for international trials and preparations for foreign tournaments and is the natural choice for any major golfing events.

Over the years we have hosted National & International Golf Tournaments like the Asian PGA sanctioned Hero Honda Masters (2001 & 2002), Honda Seil (2002), The Bilt Skins Event – 2002 (first highest purse $50,000/- single day event showcasing Vijay Singh of Fiji). Vijay Singh, then ranked no. 1 in the world returned along with top ranking US pros – Daniel Chopra, Justin Rose & British Open Champion Todd Hamilton to play 2nd round of the The Bilt Skins Event – 2004 – for a purse of US $ 100,000/- in Nov 2004. We also played host to the DLF Masters in 2007, 2008 and 2009 with prize money of Rs. 85 lacs. The 2010, 2011 and 2012 edition touched a new height with a prize purse of Rs. 1 crore.

US LPGA President - Heather Daly Donofrio, Hilary Lunke, Celeste Troche & Simi Mehra flew down to support and launch the ‘Women’s Golf Association of India’ and played an International Skins Event in Oct 2005. This was followed by the first ever women’s professional golf event - DLF Women’s Indian Open in March 2007. This US $ 100,000/- Asian LPGA co-sanctioned event saw participation of over 70 international lady pros from around the globe tee off at the DLF Golf & Country Club. The next two editions grew from strength to strength under the DLF banner. In 2010, this tournament became a tri-sanctioned European, Asian & WGAI event and was sponsored by Hero Honda with an enhanced prize purse of $ 300,000/-.

The DLF Golf and Country Club was the national choice for the first ‘Johnnie Walker Classic’ (an Asian, Australian and European sanctioned 2.5 million dollar event) in end of February 2008. With it Indian Golf moved on to the next level. Top golfers Vijay Singh, Angel Miguel Jimenez, Lee Westwood, Nick Dougherty, Adam Scot, Ian Poulter, Colin Montgomerie, Marc Waren and Jeev Milkha Singh and the cream of Indian golfers were seen in action here.

For the first time, the pride of India, the National Open- the ‘Hero Honda Indian Open’ left its customary venue and was hosted here in October 2009. This tri-sanctioned event offered a prize purse of US Dollar 1.25 million.

The DLF Golf & Country Club has hosted three editions of the Avantha Masters in February, 2010 (Prize Purse- 1.5 Million Euros) and in February, 2011 & 2012 (Prize Purse- 1.8 Million Euros). Professionals from around the world take part in this tri-sanctioned European, Asian and PGTI event. India is well represented by stalwarts Jeev Milkha Singh, Jyoti Randhawa, Arjun Atwal, Shiv Kapur, C. Muniyappa, Gaganjeet Bhullar and S.S.P. Chowrasia played along with Darren Clarke, Gregory Harvet, Richard Finch, Mark Brown, Thaworn Wiratchant, Chapchai Nirat, Mardan Mamat and a host of others – the Best of Europe & Asia.
